Match postponed, then forfeited by Thundercats Soccer
The Women’s Reserve Team came into the match with four wins, one loss, and one draw.
With the match kickoff time set for 7:00 this Tuesday evening, the teams lined up for the opening kick. Before the first minute of play had ended, lightning flashed across the dark cloudy sky. Thunder rumbled in the distance. The ref blew the whistle to halt the game for the required 30-minute delay, but within minutes the downpour began. Before the thirty minutes were up, the refs postponed the match. The Thundercats did not provide a make-up match, forfeiting the win to City.
The team’s next match would be at Keyworth on Saturday July 10th against the Grand Haven Admirals.
