Two feisty teams finished out the group stage play.
After a scoreless first half, the Stars took a lead in the 75th minute with a goal by Joseph Aidoo, assisted by Thomas Suchecki. One more goal by the Stars would put them in the semi-final match against Detroit City FC.
And one more goal was scored when Maryland was awarded a penalty kick. Kay Banjo buried it in the 85th minute, and with it, the Stars hope to play in the semi-final match.

Chattanooga FC, finishing first, earned the bye and would face the winner of the Detroit City FC/1904 FC match for the 2021 NISA Legends Cup.
