Detroit City FC won the 2020 NISA Fall Tournament Championship, securing their spot as host of the 2020-21 NISA Championship on July 3, 2021.  DCFC’s opponent will be the winner of a semi-final match held on June 30, 2021 between the champion of the NISA Legends Cup and the NISA Spring Season.

The 2021 Legends Cup was held during a two-week period in Chattanooga, TN, from April 13 – 25.  Nine teams participated in the tournament, and were placed into three groups of three teams.  At the conclusion of the group stage, the teams were seeded, with the first seed receiving a bye into the final match held on April 25th.  The #2 and #3 seed would play the semi-final match to determine the first seed’s opponent in the final.

Center for Disease Control protocols allowed for limited attendance at Chattanooga’s Finley Stadium, as the nation had become increasingly vaccinated against COVID.
