The undefeated DCFC U-23 team traveled to Grand Rapids to wrap up a home-and-home series against the West Michigan Bearings. City won the Keyworth match, 3-0 ten days ago.

And once again, it was City dominance. In the 7th minute, Keith Larson and Bosh Tanyi broke in on the Bearings’ keeper, with Larson sending a lateral pass to Tanyi for the wide open goal. The keeper lost the offside argument he was trying to make with the sideline ref.
The half ended with City dominating but unable to increase their one-goal lead. The control and possession continued into the second half.
The unrelenting pressure finally wore down the Bearings. While being marked, Zion Beaton laid off a pass to Waseem Muthana in the 78th minute. Muthana placed his shot into the bottom corner of the Bearings goal to double City’s lead.
The final dagger was delivered a minute later when Brady Walker chipped the ball past the Bearings’ keeper.

The U-23 team will take its perfect four-match record back to Keyworth in two days to host Livonia City FC.
