The 27-game unbeaten streak of 2020-21.

On September 21, 2020, the group stage of the NISA Fall Tournament began.  Detroit opened with a 2-0 loss against the Michigan Stars.  An uphill battle loomed in order to advance in the tournament.

No one expected what would happen next.

Four straight wins, and we won the tournament.

27-1

Then, we kept on winning.

The 2021 Legends Cup in Chattanooga where we didn’t concede a goal.

27-2

Even though City had assured its place in the NISA 2020-21 Championship match, they went on to win the NISA Spring Season.

And, of course, the championship match.

27-8

27-3

Then, it was on to the 2021 NISA Independent Cup, where we won the Great Lakes Region.

27-4

And into the 2021 NISA Fall Season.

27-7

It was September 18, 2021 at Keyworth.  Stumptown AC struck late in the match to win 1-0 and end the streak.

This is an amazing achievement by the Boys in Rouge and Gold.
